While professional providers are necessary to help you through the legal process of adopting a child, they often don't assist with your search for a pregnant woman who's thinking of placing her newborn baby for adoption. That's where Adoption Paths comes in.
As a registered adoption facilitator meeting the highest possible standards in our profession, we help families develop and implement proven methods for finding potential birth parents throughout the country who are considering adoption plans. Rather than charging the high fees most other facilitators charge for their advertising, we keep our costs low by passing on to you the outreach strategies that we have found to be successful, helping you create your own outreach plan.
Flexible enough to meet your personal needs, our service also includes extensive support and education to help you navigate the complexities of open adoption, and to prepare you fully for adoptive parenting.
Working with the best adoption agencies and attorneys in the country, we intentionally keep our practice small, serving no more than 20 adopters-to-be at a time. This allows us to provide hands-on, personal support to the adopting parents during the complex and emotional journey of a lifetime.
Sara Lively of Adoption Paths is a highly respected professional who works closely with the most ethical adoption attorneys and agencies in the country. An adoptive mother herself in a fully open relationship with her child’s birth family, Sara for many years worked with women in crisis, and since 2002 has educated hundreds of couples and singles about the adoption options.
If you want to learn more about adoption, Sara also offers adoption consulting, adoption classes and workshops about the issues and choices in international and domestic adoption.
Based in the Santa Cruz area of Northern California, Adoption Paths serves adopting parents from all of California, including San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Sacramento, and the Central Valley. In Southern California, we are available to adopters-to-be throughout the Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire, and San Diego areas. We also help people from other parts of the United States (from Alaska to Arkansas to Pennsylvania) to build their families by adoption.
